In my last post I shared a picture of a beautifully decorated table from an amazing dinner we experienced in Mendocino County. It was a milestone birthday dinner in honor of Mr. Bamboo's father and Finn's grandfather, Grandpa How. His wife Kerby arranged for a private family dinner at a local bed and breakfast called Victorian Gardens. The house and gardens were incredible and continuing on with my last summer entertaining ideas post I thought it would be fun to share some pics of our dinner party which was filled with so many creative touches. The owner Pauline was such a gracious and fun hostess and she pretty much gave us free reign to explore her property. It took her and her late husband 4 years to renovate the Victorian house and all of the beautiful gardens. Besides the cool outdoor dining pavilion above, there were flower and veggies gardens, a wine tasting room and bocce ball court as well as many animals such as chickens, roosters, lambs and her super friendly pet donkeys.

So, some of you may be wondering about the house status. We are in the process of the final interior touch ups and cleaning. I can't believe how much construction dust is all over and how long it takes to clean it up. We just started removing the protective cardboard coverings off the floors and uncovering all of our beautiful bamboo floors and tiles. As soon as the cleaning is finished I will be sharing our big reveal...
