We did have some house homework this weekend to do, figuring out our interior door sizes as we found a door we liked and it is only on sale until June 1st.
This door goes quite well with the beachy farmhouse style of the house and has clean lines that keep it a little more modern. We also had to make some decisions regarding the ends of our roof rafters that will be visible under the eaves of our roof. Did we want them straight or cut at an angle or notched, etc. the decisions to make are never ending! On our walk home from the beach we took some pics of houses that had the rafter tails we liked.
Straight rafter tails
Ok, so our house is not going to be quite this amazing but there are lots of ideas that we are hoping to incorporate on a smaller scale! Our house will look more like this one:
We took the secret path home from the beach shortcutting through neighbor Charles and Sharon's backyard, notice how passed out Finn is!
Look at these huge watermelons hanging on the side of their fence.
The vintage dolphin stroller even made it out for a walk!

Great shots...great fun...great family...!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful beach...we love our neighborhood beach too! Your little guy is adorable and love the name Finn!
ReplyDeleteThanks Annie, I just recently found your blog and it is very inspiring! Isn't it so amazing to live right by the beach? Every day is like a mini vacation when we walk over to play on the beach or enjoy the sunset!
ReplyDeleteHey Howard, thanks for leaving a comment! Can you believe how fast the house is being built? Yikes, it's getting hard to keep up with all the decisions to make!
